Shohei Ohtani (31), pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball and a member of Japan's national baseball team, "Samurai Japan," competing in the World Baseball Classic (WBC), arrived at Nagoya Prefectural Airport (also known as Komaki Airport) on a chartered plane from Haneda Airport on the 26th.

Ohtani, who will be focusing on batting during the WBC, joined Samurai Japan's full practice at Vantelin Dome that day. While the practice was closed to the public, 300 fans flocked to the area around the stadium.
